Offense propels Rams past La Salle for first consecutive A-10 win

For the first time all season, Rhode Island have won two straight conference games.

After a two-game road skid and a dramatic late comeback vs. St. Bonaventure, stability is exactly what the Rams needed on Saturday. While it wasn’t entirely comfortable, the Rams led throughout en route to a 15-point win, earning their revenge after falling to the Explorers on the road earlier in the year.

Six players in double-figures as the Rams offense flourished – senior guard Jaden House led the way with 16 after a tough night against the Bonnies, while senior guard Sebastian Thomas dished out a career-high 11 assists to go with 11 points. The mark finished as the seventh-highest single game assist total in program history, falling just two short of the record.

Senior center Javonte Brown (13), sophomore forward David Fuchs (11), junior guard Jamarques Lawrence (10) and junior forward Drissa Traore (10) also added double-figure totals to the win. Traore set a career-high in the process, while Brown also brought down 10 boards for his second double-double of the season.

After a crucial home stretch went their way, the Rams will take a week off before heading to St. Louis on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 2:30 p.m. on ESPN+ and The Varsity Network.
