WATCH: Rams come up clutch yet again

The shot, the cheers, the win; all seemed regular for a clutch Rhode Island win in the Ryan Center – The only difference was that the name shouted by public address announcer Dan Yorke was not Sebastian Thomas, rather it was Jamarques Lawrence.

The junior guard took the role of hero on Wednesday night, dropping a career-high 20 points to get the Rams back into the win column after dropping back-to-back games on the road.

After Lawrence’s team-leading tally, senior forward David Green helped the cause with 18 of his own, while Thomas’ 15 points all came in the second half comeback effort.

The Rams are back on the home floor – maybe this time around with less anxiety surrounding the final minute – on Saturday when they host La Salle. The game tips-off at 4 p.m. and can be streamed on ESPN+ with radio broadcasts available on the Varsity Network and RIU2.org.
